The GD32L233 mainstream line of low-power MCUs has a maximum frequency of 64MHz, integrates 64KB to 256KB eFlash, 16KB to 32KB SRAM, and an extensive range of enhanced I/Os and peripheral resources connected to two APB buses. The chip keeps built on the industry-leading Arm® Cortex®-M23 core and provides high processing power through a streamlined and powerful Armv8-M instruction set and a fully optimized bus design, which includes a standalone multiplier and divider, making it suitable for deeply embedded application scenarios requiring low power and high energy efficiency.
The GD32L233 series of MCUs delivers excellent power efficiency and reduces the deep-sleep current to 2µA with a wake-up time of less than 10µs wake time and a standby current as low as 0.4µA. In deep-sleep mode, the devices can be triggered by different system clocks and peripheral interfaces. The new design of the power management unit provides up to six low-power modes including partial sleep, deep sleep, and push-button wake-up. Under the maximum frequency and full-speed active mode, the power consumption is only 66µA/MHz, which demonstrates an outstanding energy efficiency ratio.
The rich peripheral interfaces of GD32L233 products provide more innovative options with a GPIO reuse rate as high as 93%. The newly introduced multi-channel DMA multiplexer module (DMAMUX) improves the routing flexibility between peripherals and DMA. The device supports segment code LCD display which provides 8*28 segment and 4*32 segment in two formats.
Compared with the industry-competing low-power products, this series has more extensive peripheral resources and application flexibility, thus paving the way for continuous improvements of energy efficiency at the system level and is widely suitable for typical markets such as industrial meters, small consumer equipment, portable medical devices, battery management systems, and data acquisition and transmission.
