Overview
The GD32A5xx series is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core operating at up to 100 MHz and integrates 384 KB of Flash memory and 48 KB of SRAM. It also features a dedicated data storage area configurable as either 64 KB of Data Flash or 4 KB of EEPROM. The device supports a wide operating voltage range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, an operating temperature range of –40 °C to +125 °C, and a service life exceeding 15 years.
To support diverse body control and connectivity applications, the GD32A5xx integrates a rich set of communication interfaces, including up to three USARTs, two I2Cs, two SPIs, one I2S, two CAN FDs, and three LIN interfaces. In addition, the newly introduced MFCOM module can be flexibly configured as a USART, SPI, I2C, or LIN interface, providing greater design flexibility and peripheral scalability.
The device incorporates one 16-bit general-purpose timer, two basic timers, and four advanced PWM timers. Its integrated 12-bit ADC supports conversion rates of up to 1 MSPS and is complemented by high-precision analog peripherals, including a high-speed comparator and DAC, enabling automotive motor control and other analog-intensive applications.
To enhance functional safety and system reliability, the GD32A5xx features ECC protection in Flash and SRAM, and CRC verification for data communication. The device also integrates voltage monitoring functions (BOR/PDR) and clock monitoring mechanisms to ensure secure and stable system operation. Combined with robust ESD and EFT performance, it meets the stringent reliability and durability requirements of automotive electronic systems.
