Overview
The GD32E5xx series is a family of 32-bit general-purpose microcontrollers based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core. Built on the Arm® v8-M architecture, the series operates at frequencies of up to 180 MHz. It features an enhanced instruction set supporting general data processing, I/O control, bit-field operations, DSP functions, and a floating-point unit (FPU).
Integrated TMU & MPU
The GD32E5xx series integrates a dedicated hardware Trigonometric Math Unit (TMU) supporting vector, sine, cosine, exponent, square root, common logarithm, and other mathematical operations, effectively reducing CPU workload and improving processing efficiency.
In addition, the series integrates a Memory Protection Unit (MPU) for task isolation, improving overall system reliability.
Optimizing Energy Efficiency for Industrial Applications
The series operates within a 1.7 V to 3.6 V power supply range, with 5 V-tolerant I/O ports and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. To optimize the balance between wake-up latency and power consumption in low-power applications, the GD32E5xx series provides five power-saving modes.

The GD32E5xx series is suitable for a wide range of applications, including high-precision industrial control, digital power supplies, motor inverters, measuring instruments, mixed-signal processing, and high-end consumer electronics.
